Iris’ Dreams (Behind the Scene - S01E04 “The Birthday”)
First part of episode 4 “The Birthday” behind the scenes.
Dream sequences are always interesting , as we have to think of how to render them. Filters ? Distortions ? Color changes ? There are a lot of ways to do it, that we all know and are used to, and finding the right one is harder than it seems.
However, in our case, producers and broadcasters worried that the plot may be too confusing for young children, so we only had one mission : make it so anyone can tell when we’re in a dream and when we’re in the real world with just a glance.
As always with storyboard shots, you can try to find what made its way to the final episode, and what was changed / removed. ;)
