When a production doesn’t go as expected…
In a production, following a schedule is always as important as it is complicated. On the plus side, when everything goes wrong, it builds up experience and memories. Lolirock’s production gave us tons of experience.
The first drawing was drawn by Bertrand, right after a rather painful meeting. It was the end of year 2012, and we were already late. Terribly late. The workload was bigger than anticipated, and we couldn’t handle it the way we were working.
Along with director Jean-Louis, we talked to our team to apologize and explain them 2013 would be a very hard year : we were asked to catch up with the delays, and given a very tight schedule to do so. We weren’t sure we’d make it, but we had to try, and ask for everyone’s help in this.
What the team remembered of this meeting led to this drawing and his text : “Hi. In 2013… you’re all gonna die.”
So, what happened in 2013 ? Well, no one died, but we ended all exhausted… and we didn’t make it, far from it. Despite all our hard work, the delays were still there, still growing, and we felt powerless and very frustrated about this… Which led to the second drawing, from January 2015 (by Bertrand again).
… resilience was needed at that time … :)
