They have different personalities, and are brothers and sister, so they would probably argue a lot anyway. Now, is black crystal magic making them meaner, less patient, more selfish, and in the end pushes them to argue even more ? Yes it does. But don’t worry. No matter how much they argue, these two still deeply care to each other.

The twins are infamous agents working for Gramorr for a while now. And on the other hand, the royal families of Volta and Xeris are well known on Ephedia. 

Maybe they met, maybe they didn’t. However, they obviously knew about each other, even if by name only.

The “Hurleybeast” is some kind of big and very noisy fish that’s on Ephedia. Mephiso mentions it in episode 25 (”Home : part 1″), and Nathaniel also mentions it as being Talia’s (not Auriana’s !) favourite food… even though he admits he has no idea what it is. 

As for a similar meat, the Hurleybeast steak looks a lot like a tuna steak. Sort of. “Bon appetit !” ;)

(Eh, looks like there is now a thing that both Mephisto and Talia loves, and that’s canon ! ;) I guess the Talisto shippers will make good use of this information.)

If black magic harms both the caster and the victim as mentioned in one of your earlier posts, then how corrupted/hurt/damaged is Praxina? While the twins cast spells together and separately Praxina is usually the one to conjure up the huge monsters and seal people in black crystal. Since these are larger and presumably more difficult spells, as opposed to just attacking with crystal shards, making shields etc., does the black magic have a stronger hold on her than it does on Mephisto?

Let’s clarify a thing first : Praxina and Mephisto are nearly as powerful as each other. They just don’t use magic the same way. 

Praxina prefers demonstrations of raw power, like big explosion spells and huge monster summoning. And she’s good at that.

Mephisto prefers more elaborate spells and tricks (he likes to brag how he’s a genius, remember ?), like trying to put all princesses to sleep, or removing Iris’ memory, things like that. 

He however is as capable as her to summon monsters and freeze people in black crystal. And she is also capable of being more subtle when needed. That’s why they make a pretty good team. 

Now, back to the main question. How “damaged” are our favourite twins ? They’re still young, so they’re fine… for now. The first thing black magic does it making its caster a little more evil each day. If they continue using it all their lives ? They might end up like Gramorr : Evil, Powerful, and Angry all the time. :) At best. 

That’s all I can say for now. ;)

The twins are using Black Magic, so it kind of works differently. :) Besides, we still don’t know where they come from…

Iris-Evil uses Black Magic indeed, and you can see her magic circle tainted in dark in the episode when she does.

  • IRIS : 15
  • TALIA : 16
  • AURIANA : 15
  • LYNA : 16
  • CARISSA : 15
  • MEPHISTO & PRAXINA (twins) : 17
  • IZIRA : 25 (9 years older than Talia)
  • MISSY : 15

During the events of Xeris, Talia is supposed to be 7, while Izira is 16.

And for the main boys : 

  • LEV : 17
  • NATHANIEL : 16
  • DOUG : 15
  • KYLE : 17

Most of the teenager in the show are between 15 to 17 years. 

Gramorr is much older… how much ? Even we don’t know…

Does this mean that his and Praxina's home is the palace? 5. Are people not envious that only royals can transform?

1) She’s really powerful, and has her ways. :)

2) Yeah, it’s the same kind of spell. The way of doing it is different though. Lyna is using Borealian magic, while the twins are using the forbidden Black Crystal magic. 

3) That’s a mystery, even for us… but that could explain why Praxina is always in a very bad mood. We also don’t know how Gramorr survives since he’s trapped in the Throne Room for the last 15 years… Black Magic maybe ?

4) Mephisto and Praxina’s home is on Ephedia, that’s for sure. Now, we don’t know if they use to live in the castle with Gramorr, or another place. They’re very secretive about it.

5) Good question. We don’t know. Maybe ?

BACK TO 2011 !
THE CREATION OF LOLIROCK - PART 5
: VILLAINS !

(pictures 1 and 2) Precisely October the 31st of 2011 (Halloween day, no kidding), I started researches for Mephisto and Praxina, the evil duet of the series. As our princess heroins, they came from Ephedia which is a kingdom. with knights. So I wanted them to wear armors and swords, and exuberant make-ups. I wanted them to have white and black hairs, kind of tie-and-dye. As princesses have symbols, Meph n Prax must have symbols, so I proposed “X” and “+” you can see in their eyes. Their magic is also ice/crystal. Their weapons have to be ice/crystal. and I imagined this fusion that would make a crystal guitar. it could send a huge “music wave” to fight the “voice wave” of the princesses. wait, WHAT ? Oh yeah, princesses’ voice power ! get another look at the 1st episode of Lolirock. at this stage of the development, princesses took power from their voices. Writers totally forgot that basis idea of the series after the 1st episode. So the music in the series doesnt make sense anymore. what a waste. clap clap clap.
(pictures 3 and 4) Back to the characters creation. My partner in crime Benedicte Ciaravino drew her vision of Meph n Prax. She imagined them more like night butterflies/moths. “X” in Meph’s eyes became butterfly silhouette (notice that butterfly is still the symbol of Praxina). So, finally, after 2 months of researches (as for the princesses’ researches, I only show you the tip of the iceberg : I have tons of pages) , Benedicte’s design of Prax was unanimous \o/. Mephisto still wasn’t okay for the producers :-( and they were totally unable to give us a vision of what they expect. We only knew it wasnt ok. again. damn…
(picture 5) So it was now the turn to Jean-Louis Vandestoc, Lolirock’s director, to draw his vision to try to break the deadlock. If Prax was awesome with butterfly, Jean-Louis wanted Mephisto to have snake symbol, and he brought the idea of a half-hidden face.
