It’s done ! Finaly ! After 5 years of production, from the 1st episode of season 1 to the 26th of season 2 !
Thanks for all the people who worked on it, both in France and Malaysia ! And thanks to the man who inspired us to follow him for so long, director Jean-Louis Vandestoc.
Now, season 2 only needs to be aired, which should be soon, at least in France : You can expect quite a few preview episodes on our youtube channel for Christmas’ vacations, and the airing should start in January 2017. More details as soon as we’ll have them.
We hope you’ll enjoy our episodes as much as we enjoyed (and struggled) to create them.
Quick Answers to regular questions :
- Season 2 will have 26 new episodes of 22 minutes each, and will feature 5 new songs (you can find the music videos online on our youtube channel. At least for 3 out of 5 at the moment)
- The series is still mostly composed of “stand alone episodes”, but we have three two-part episodes that you shouldn’t miss.
- We suggest to watch from episode 2-01 to 2-26 in order, since some interesting episodes will come at the end of the season
- Lyna and Carissa, the two new princesses introduced at the end of season 1 will help Iris, Talia ans Auriana, but won’t live with them nor join the band. They’re still members of the Resistance, and won’t always be with our three main princesses. It’s a “Three + Two” team at this point.
- The tone of the season has evolved a little, and we tried to mix some more emotional episodes, to add some depth to the show. Be prepared !
- What about a season 3 ? Let’s say “maybe”. :) It’ll probably depend of season 2′s success. ;) And for now, all the team need a little rest anyway.

Yes, of course. But not yet. :) We have to wait for all 5 new clips to be released, then we’ll show you how we did it. (Plus, right now, finishing season 2 comes first and we’re too exausted to prepare anything for the blog… ^^’)
Lyna, Princess of Borealis : TRANSFORMATION REVEALED !
Hey, it seems it’s a busy day. ;)
Enjoy this new transformation sequence, storyboard by Christelle “Happykuri” Abgrall, like the previous transformations.
As you can see, it’s quite different from our three main princess : main reasons were that we didn’t want to repeat the exact same pattern (’cause it’s boring), and couldn’t anyway (for production issues, we had to make shorter transformations).
Lyna and Carissa are new princesses, but different from Iris, Talia and Auriana : they won’t live at Aunt Ellen’s house, and will only appear on some episodes (budget & writing issues, once again), helping the three main princesses when necessary.
So, for their transformations, Christelle took her inspiration from the “outer senshis” from Sailor Moon (mainly Sailor Uranus and Neptune), but I guess that’s pretty obvious. ;)

When season 2 will premiere? I know it will premiere somewhere this year but a season 2 teaser appear in YouTube with the girls' new dances moves, Lyna's transformation and Auriana modeling and it said October 16 new episodes. I don't really if is referring to season 2 or the rest of season 1 episodes since the video the guy have British accent and it said Monday. Since this year oct 16 is sunday and the 2017 oct 16 is Monday
Yeah, I saw this “trailer” too, but I couldn’t confirm its authenticity… So I’m in the dark as much as you.
I barely know the french launch date, and it’s not confirmed yet… As soon as I have more news, I’ll post them, you can be sure of it. ;)

2) The exact line is “Burned up like a Metzorian fire worm ! WHOOSH !“. So not a person, rather another of the wild creatures from Ephedia, next to the beezdingles, triple-headed lagwamps, flying gabablasters, hurleybeast and such…

this is the episode that gave me so much inspiration to do a backstory for Praxina, literally every animator here had so much feels for praxina after watching this episode, some even cried.T.T
and now episodes that are equally EPIC but not as best as the above(sorry XD):
-Princess Brenda P1& 2: I wanted to animate this!!Why? cause mephisto and praxina rocks here,the beautiful visuals of them showing off their powers are seriously wow!
-Stop in the name of Lev P1 & 2: prepare for uncertainty and heartbreaks~~ This really reminds you that ephidea is at war and why people are what they are.
-Truth be told: prepare to be mindblown for this episode, really,I only got to see the character designs and story board, but even that was already very shocking, truth be told indeed……
-Wicked Red: OK, every animator had fun with Auriana here, we did a lot of acting, n crazy hair flippings haha, favourite episode of auriana so far.
-Amaru-niverse: Best Amaru episode ever! also because we have creatve freedom to do what ever we want to make him super uber lovable =W=
- Dancing shoes: awesome Talia episode, was gonna be my last episode but they gave me something else to handle. none the less, i am sure my friends will do a good job for Talia.
-Cute as a doll: ok I had fun torturing Lyna =P but many animators love doing Lyna and Carissa~
-Super cute kitten: this tittle is very hilariously ironic, i was in charge of animating the big revelation scene, so do look forward! XD
-Desert heat: prepare tissues for this too, it was the last episode I handled a special arc for Auriana.
-Puppylove: my best animation sequence,we are getting a lot of amaru this season, and a lot of surprises in store for him.
-If you can’t beat em: we had fun with mephisto~~then again we always do, prepare for a lot of laughing in this episode~! XD
- Amateur hour: A simple story, but wow the fight sequence and acting with this side character was so good.
-Rex: a certain someone is back~, tho animating him was quite hard ==(his facial proportions are really hard to keep on model), but I got best animation so not complaining XD
-Statue game: Carissa,go~!! she is fast becoming my favourite to animate.I think her personality can be relate able to many girls out there.
-The ruby of the Orient: another simple story but I love the sub character and the delivery of the mystery and plot twist.
This is the end of my list, some of you might be wondering why I didn’t put the big epic finale, “Crowning Glory” up, thats because I only saw the character designs and story, I will only judge it once i see more news from my friends.
Hehe. :) Well, you wanted to know what will be waiting for you in season 2 ? I guess this list is a good spoiler-free teaser ! ;)
Can you give us a rough date/month when season 2 will air? I really love the new princesses and can't wait to see more of them!
Sorry, we’re currently producing it, and it’s too soon to give even an estimation of the airing date. “At some point in 2016, we hope” is our best answer…

Okay, remember the image galoupop posted that slightly showed five new images for season two’s five new songs?
Well, I think I have an idea of which image is for which song! I could be wrong, but hey… it’s worth the try!
(The logos are for the lyric videos I made)
Here’s how I came to my conclusions.
NEW STAR GENERATION
For “New Star Generation”, I saw an “-EW”. No other LoliRock song has an “…EW” in their titles (season two only). Let’s look the songs over:

Never Give Up
Reach the Stars
You see? “New Star Generation” is the only song with an “-EW”.
NEVER GIVE UP
“Never Give Up” wasn’t so hard to figure out because in the image, I see an ‘N’. Since I already canceled out “New Star Generation”, “Never Give Up” was the second song with a capital ‘N’ in it. (If it was “Party Talking”, we would’ve seen the “Talk–” infront of the 'N’)
PARTY TALKING
For “Party Talking”, I saw a ‘T’ and another (assumed) word next to it. I looked at (the song titles) “Reach the Stars”, “LoliStep” and “New Star Generation”. The only words next to the ‘T’s were ‘E’ and ‘A’. ‘E’ and ‘A’ don’t open wide at the top like a 'Y’. Therefore, the fourth image is “Party Talking”.
LOLISTEP
Second to last, I figured out that “LoliStep” was the last image because I saw a big white letter that could either be an 'I’ or an 'L’. Looking at it again, it looks like there’s an 'O’ next to the 'I’ or 'L’…. It has to be “LoliStep”!
REACH THE STARS
Now… the last one that was left: “Reach the Stars”! I didn’t know which image was for this one (when I first began looking closely at the images), but looking at the only image left; (since I picked every other song title for the “their” images) there are stars. Though you can say the stars could’ve been for “New Star Generation”… it just wouldn’t make sense.*
*“New Star Generation” talks about them being the new girls who are… famous. “Reach the Stars” talks about how LoliRock will be there for you and push you to be the best you can be. Plus, in “NSG” (New Star Generation), they say “star light … … we’re the stars and sun and diamonds in the moonlight”. Why use only stars for “NSG”’s song cover when they say they are like part of the universe?! So… you get the idea!
And that’s how I came to my conclusions for the song titles! Thank you, for reading this. If you’re confused, I can re-explain myself.
